"Systemic racism", please take your ideology out of the game please, we are not here for that. I don't know how you can argue against it. Raising awareness is an extremely important step to combat racism, and the Warcraft story is one that has systemic racism built in to its very fabric. Although I support the Horde for fighting against the oppressive establishment that is the Alliance, I admire Anduin very much for trying to create racial harmony on Azeroth. There is absolutely nothing wrong by pointing out the racism that is the central motivational force behind most of the stories of the entire Warcraft franchise. We are in a world where different races are treated differently, and that is also what the bulk of the story of Warcraft is about: racial discrimination between the Alliance and the Horde. Mean.Ĭlaiming ignorance and being tone-deaf is NOT how you fight racism, and that's what I think you're trying to claim. And you posting about it only brought attention to something your post was claiming shouldn't be an issue. If your post isn't a troll post, then you were naturally and genuinely thinking what you wrote, and were looking for a problem. You're the one who saw what you saw and decided to post, therefore, it was something YOU mind, while the rest of us were fine and oblivious until you pointed out what you wanted others to read. Also, have compassion for those who read your comment, and for yourself. Please, have a heart and stop applying earth concepts and terms to wow. Uther isn't black or white, no being from wow goes by earth categories (and neither should we, quite honestly), he may be darker in appearance for whatever reason causes that, and returning blue or to his originally natural color wouldn't mean anything negative. Beings from wow aren't earth races and we don't apply our terminology to them. It'd be a terrible PR disaster if Blizz decided to change him from black to white just to show that he has been redeemed. We should applaud the fact that Uther remains black but is a good guy now. However, this is purely speculation at this point.ĭid you enjoy this news article? It is worth noting that the armor that Uther wears in this model is the same as the Kyrian model (nicknamed Bluther by the community) that was shown when Uther was revealed to appear in Shadowlands, during BlizzCon 2019.Ĭurrently, on the PTR, there is a final chapter at the Covenant Campaign storyline (What Lies Ahead) that hasn't been available for testing (and at this point, will probably not be tested at all), and maybe we might see Uther changing to a Kyrian at this chapter. Uther can be seen at the Seat of the Archon with this model, but is nowhere to be seen as of the latest build after you leave the Seat scenario.Īlthough the model does look a little weird, with Uther only having Kyrian armor plates but maintaining his Forsworn clothing, the model hasn't changed in two builds, so this composition is likely intended. This model can be seen on Uther after the Kyrian ceremony that creates the new Paragon of Devotion. It has been discovered that Uther has a new model in Chains of Domination - Uther can be seen wearing Kyrian armor, contrasting with his Forsworn clothes and color scheme.
